Henderson is scheduled to break ground on the first phase this summer.

Teams of four competed in five events utilizing their skills to creatively operate the following equipment: off road dump truck, bucket loader, backhoe, excavator, and a skid steer. Congratulations to the “Ham Slams” – Tony Hamilton, Bill Gilliam, Tommy Cohick and Taylor Franks for coming in first and to Bill Gilliam and Wayne Parnell for winning our “Top Operator” award.
The following were the five events:
Going Beyond the Building as a Good Neighbor
Recently, Project Superintendent Karl Schultz went Beyond the Building on the Old Point National Bank job site in Hampton, Virginia.
A sidewalk and street adjacent to the Bank has to be closed throughout construction. Karl thought this might dissuade customers from visiting a neighboring business, Hampton Stationary. So Karl took it upon himself to have a sign made letting everyone know the shop was still open for business during this nearby construction.
This considerate attitude and kind gesture is another way Henderson and our team go Beyond the Building.
