They arrive on the construction site early. They don’t just coordinate their own team, but they also reach out across the project to ensure they are closely aligned with all other sub-contractors and Henderson, Inc. project managers. To top it off, they are very safety conscious.
That’s, as Dennis Coons, Henderson Superintendent of the dining addition job for a federal client in Williamsburg, Comfort Systems of Virginia in a nutshell.
In February 2016, Henderson named Comfort Systems, an HVAC contractor based in Chesapeake, Va., its Subcontractor of the Month.
“This is the first time we’ve worked with Comfort Systems and it’s been a pleasure,” Coons said. “Their work is always done. They take care of things. That’s what you need from your subs on a big project and we’re thrilled to be working with them.”
To recognize the value of our project team members, each month Henderson’s Superintendents and Project Managers nominate individual subcontractor companies for recognition as Subcontractor of the Month. To be considered, the company’s project management team or field staff must have performed above and beyond – Beyond the Building, if you will – on quality, production or assisting with the resolution of problems encountered on their project.
“Your team went Beyond the Building by their initiative to not only coordinate the lay out of your company’s work, but to coordinate all other affected trades working within a complicated cloud ceiling assembly,” the Henderson leadership and project team wrote in a letter to Rhonda Bridgeman, President of Comfort Systems.
The work truly represented the mission Comfort Systems sets out on each of its jobs – taking great pride in the projects they are awarded and following up with great service.
Henderson specifically recognized the team on the ground of the project from Comfort Systems, to include supervisor Matt McGregor, foreman Danny Harrell, and team members Leo Cantada, Mario Tomas, Gary Ritter, Brandon Doggett, Jeffery Steele, Mike Martin, Will McKee and David Hutchinson.
