Vice President of Development at Diamond Healthcare Corporation Lindsay Shuff shares his experience working with Henderson, Inc. on the recently completed Pavilion at Williamsburg Place project.
Diamond Healthcare Corporation is a national leader in the development and management of high quality Behavioral Health services for health systems, hospitals, critical access facilities and other organizations. Diamond works with clients across the country, offering a comprehensive range of contract management, facilities development, consulting and education. In addition to these services, Diamond owns The Campus of Williamsburg Place in Williamsburg, VA.
This campus of recovery is home to the newly constructed psychiatric Pavilion and The Farley Center. The Pavilion is a 57-bed state-of-the-art psychiatric hospital offering acute treatment services for adults and older adults with psychiatric disorders. The Farley Center is an addiction treatment center offering individualized treatment helping people from all walks of life, including young adults, professionals, and active duty military, to recover from alcohol and drug addiction.
Diamond Healthcare Corporation (Diamond) and Henderson, Inc (HI) established more than a contractual relationship between the two organizations to construct The Pavilion at Williamsburg Place. To attempt to complete this 37,000 square foot project in a 12-month time frame meant the two organizations must work as a team keeping in mind that both organizations must act fairly with each other and with those involved with the projects development including architects, subcontractors, and suppliers.
That TEAM approach and commitment to fairness and development of the project within budget anticipations culminated in the creation of The Pavilion at Williamsburg Place as a state-of- the-art psychiatric hospital for adults and older adults to serve not only the residence of the Williamsburg region but to serve residence nationally.
