Steve’s day starts out opening up the job site, checking his emails, and walking around the job site to make sure everything is safe and ready to be worked on. Steve brings many skills to Henderson such as experience, dedication, and organization. His favorite project has been the Williamsburg Landing, he says the experiences there will be “unforgettable”.

Steve is from Norfolk, Virginia. He is married and has six kids, three girls and three boys. An animal lover, he has four dogs and two cats. Steve enjoys being with his family, and has hobbies such as fishing, hunting, and shooting.

Dance like there’s nobody watching, love like you’ll never be hurt, sing like there’s nobody listening, and live like it’s heaven on earth.

Tommy Carawan

Tommy’s day-to-day here at Henderson, Inc. consists of managing the site projects and making sure the job gets done. Tommy has been with Henderson since 1999 and he brings a lot of experience to the team. Tommy’s favorite project that he worked on was Colonial Heritage.

Tommy is married to his wife Melissa and they have two amazing children, Brock and Sophie. He also has two dogs. Tommy enjoys spending his time away from work with his family and the great outdoors.

Steve Burford

Stephen’s typical day at Henderson as a Project Manager starts with lots of coffee and emails, then he heads out to visit and manage job sites. Stephen started working at Henderson in 2004, worked there for 4 years, then went off to college. He returned to Henderson in 2015. Stephen’s favorite memories at Henderson is that he has had many different positions over the years and has gotten to work with many different people.

Stephen is originally from Orlando, Florida. When he isn’t at work, he enjoys spending time with his son fishing and being outdoors. In his free time he also coaches for his son’s little league.

Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.

Carl Bindrim

Carl has over 4 decades of experience in the building construction industry. Hailing from New York he has found his way to Williamsburg and brings a tremendous amount of knowledge.

This Jimmy Buffet loving man has been married for over 40 years and has four daughters and still manages to find time to go fishing. He is also fond of supporting and helping those that reach out for it.

We’re well ahead of it.

Darrell Baker

Darrell Baker

Darrell has been with Henderson since 1998. As a Pipe Superintendent, he uses his ability to get people to “buy-in” to get the job done. He is also one of our mentors who is helping to educate the next generation of Henderson, Inc.

Even though Virginia is where Darrell resides now, he is originally from Miami, FL. On his off-time, Darrell likes to spend time with family and his dog, Sparkle.

Ezeal, A.K.A “Junior”, has been with Henderson since 2000. With all those years of experience, he brings a vast knowledge of the job to his role of Site Superintendent. He is also a talented equipment operator if the job calls for it. Junior is a big fan of helping mentor the younger people on the team. If you ask him, he will tell you one of his favorite projects to date has been the Virginia Capital Bike Trail.

Junior is originally from Middlesex, VA. If he is not on the job site, you can find him fishing or drag racing. Junior has two kids named Ezeal III and Sabretta.
