Peter Henderson

Peter’s day to day at Henderson is analyzing site work on multiple projects and building relationships with owners, designers, consultants and teammates. Peter has too many great memories at Henderson to pick just one, his favorite project he’s worked on was the Williamsburg Marketcenter where he helped run equipment on the night crew.

Peter has 4 children, 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 reptiles. In his “free time”, Peter enjoys working with cattle. He also does community service such as United Way, holiday nursing home visits, and many more.

Suck it up buttercup.

Pete Henderson

In 1979 Pete assumed the role of President of Henderson, Inc. from his father, David L. Henderson. Today he watches proudly and guides the leadership team at Henderson, Inc. with his wisdom and knowledge.

Pete considers himself blessed to be able to spend many of his days now working with the cattle on their family farm. He and his wife Connie also enjoy being with their children’s families, including their 10 grandchildren, and traveling.

You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him

Rob Haven

Rob’s days at Henderson being a Project Manager are filled with lots of meetings, phone calls, emails, and organizing. Rob brings open mindedness and is willing to learn and do whatever is needed to benefit the team. Rob’s favorite project at Henderson has been the Escape from Pompeii at Busch Gardens.

Rob has been living in Williamsburg since he was two years old. When he is at home, he enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Jenna, and their 3 children. Rob also loves to build furniture in his shop in his free time.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter.

Russ Harmon

Russ Harmon

Russ’s day-to-day at Henderson as a superintendent is managing subcontractors and keeping everyone on schedule. Russ starts his days by greeting his team first thing in the morning, keeping a positive attitude, and helping the subcontractors with issues and safety throughout the day. Russ’s best memory at Henderson is when he met his wife, Heather back in 2000. His favorite project is Apollo’s Chariot at Busch Gardens.

When Russ isn’t at work, he enjoys traveling with his wife, and loves hunting and riding his Harley Davidson. He also has two sons, Jesse and Dylan and has three dogs. Russ is originally from Montana.

Two eyes. Two ears. One mouth.

Heather Harmon

There is no such thing as a “typical” day at Henderson, Inc. for Heather. She is heavily involved in the project procurement processes, and she has spent a good portion of the 21st Century bringing her creativity and helpful spirit to Henderson, Inc. With too many memories to count at Henderson, Inc., there is one that sticks out for her – Heather met her husband while working at Henderson!

Speaking of her husband, they have 2 boys and 3 dogs, and currently live on the outskirts of Williamsburg. When she is not at work, you can probably find her working out, traveling, or spending time at the Bay with her husband and dogs.

“Limits only exist in the mind.”

Bruce Gilliam

Since 1995, Bruce has brought his most to each project. A typical day as a General Superintendent involves supporting his team in every way that he can. The man otherwise known as, “The Fixer” has many fond memories and projects from his time at Henderson but the one that sticks out the most is the housing projects on one of our government facilities.

Bruce was born and raised in Williamsburg, VA where he continues to reside with his wife, Amy. They also have the blessing of 3 adult children and a grandchild. He enjoys spending time outdoors with close friends.

Ignored behavior is accepted behavior.

Sarah Elliott

Sarah came to us in 2019 and started off as our runner. Her positive attitude and strong work ethic quickly led her to the role of Project Administrator. When she is not answering emails, writing contracts or working with our subcontractors and Project Managers she’s doing her best to put smiles on everyone’s faces.
She has two beautiful daughters that keep her very busy, but when she does have time she enjoys creating custom silver and gold jewelry in her home studio.

Optimism is a happiness magnet. If you stay positive, good things and good people will be drawn to you.

Chris Davis

When Chris first came to Henderson, Inc. he helped in our shop.  He quickly realized this was a place of growth and opportunity and set his sights on learning all that he could learn.  He now works directly with our project teams as a Site Project Engineer.

Al Davis

As the Director of Preconstruction and Development you can typically find Al in coordination meetings. He works diligently with internal and external team members to prepare projects for a successful completion. With over twenty years at Henderson, Inc., he still remembers the first time he walked onto the Apollo’s Chariot project (his first project with the company, and still his favorite)!

Hailing from Danville VA, Al is married to his wife Tiffany, and they have a lovingly-spoiled beagle named Sigmon Murphy. On the weekends, you can find Al at his backyard grill or woodworking.

Honesty is the best policy.
